RESEARCH

Research

The overall aim of research is to create new knowledge to address problems that people have been undergoing in particular geographic areas for years. Until research is done, the nature, pattern and magnitude of these problems remain unknown to those concerned; that’s why, they cannot take care of the problems. Research is considered a prerequisite for comprehensive development. Bangladesh aspires to establish comprehensive development, which means that everybody regardless of age, sex, religion, ethnicity and physical or mental disability will have equal opportunities to flourish. Every issue that may hamper the wellbeing and development individuals must be investigated carefully. However, research findings can be used for various purposes: program/intervention design, informed decision-making, evidence-based practice promotion and policy advocacy.
CDA has full potentials to design and carry out applied and action research on various areas, and thus the organization wants to contribute toward comprehensive development in the country.
